Chemistry between men and women is a mysterious subject that we are only recently learning more about. There is definitely something unexplainable and powerful about chemistry between two people.
Most of it is out of our control. There is definite science that shows how we are biologically programmed to respond to someone else’s DNA through the calling card of their pheromones.
But, there are ways to increase the chemistry between two people.
It might seem cheesy, but the perfect example took place on the last two seasons of The Bachelor.
In the first one, Jason had a tough time choosing between the last two women, Melissa and Molly. His logical mind told him to pick Melissa, but he sat and wept when he watched Molly leave.
Jason later stunned viewers by dumping Melissa and asking on national TV whether Molly would reconsider being with him. She did. Now the pair is married.
Why is that? What kind of hold did she have on him?
I think it might have had something to do with the chemical bond that was created by the adrenaline rush of the duo bungee jump the pair did earlier in the dating process.
Before I explain this further, let me fast forward to The Bachelor episode with Jake. Pretty much every other woman in the house despised Vienna, but he was smitten. He had undeniable chemistry and could not be away from her, picking her in the end. What instance did he keep referring to when he spoke of her?
The time they bungee jumped together.
Right then, his entire opinion of her changed and he never could get over her, falling completely head over heels in love.
So what does science say about this? There are actually studies that show that when two people meet for the first time on a high bridge over rushing water (sound like bungee jumping scenarios?) they will find each more attractive than if they had met somewhere else. There is some combination of the adrenaline rush and racing heartbeat felt looking down at something from that high.
Studies show that couples who either meet or participate in something that is exciting – both in a good way or even bad – tend to be more attracted to one another. The belief is that we associate that person with that feeling of excitement we felt at the time.
So just how do you do it?
Figure out how to get your adrenaline going. Go ride a roller coaster, watch a horror movie, take her parasailing, skydiving, whitewater rafting or even the good old bungee jumping.
There may not be exact science behind it, but it looks like anything that gets your adrenaline pumping, makes your palms sweaty and gets your heart racing may lead to forging a strong connection with the woman of your dreams. It’s worth a try. Even if it doesn’t work, at least you had fun, right. And you’ve showed the woman just what a fun guy you are to be around and maybe that’s all you needed to do anyway.
